HEALTH COACHING WITH JENN

I recently became an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Health Coach and I am so excited to offer individual health coaching for those who want to improve their overall well-being through balanced nutrition and lifestyle changes. This is a new chapter in my health journey, which began with my love for sports, fitness and nutrition.

My Background

I completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, earned my massage therapy license, and completed a yoga instructor certification. I continued my education with a Masters of International Public Health. I became co-owner of Yoga on Center in 2011 and founded Jenn Russo’s 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training School in 2019. I have led groups of students through seasonal cleanses and week-long yoga retreats in the U.S. and Mexico. During this time, I have continued my lifelong study of nutrition, Ayurveda, physical fitness, and other components of health and wellness. Becoming a Certified Health Coach was the natural outgrowth of my lifelong interest in wellness.

What does a Health Coach do?

As a health coach, I work with my clients one on one, looking at their person goals and values. I help implement lifestyle changes to improve physical and emotional health. Together, we will look at long term personal goals and the bigger picture of health including nutrition, physical activity, digestive issues, sleep, stress reduction, mental health and more. We will set realistic goals to help empower you to take an active role in changing your health. I will be your personal guide and accountability partner as you learn new ways of eating and moving.

Not sure where to begin?

Some of us are struggling with our digestion, our weight, our hormones, or chronic aches and pains. We want to make shifts in diet or exercise that will create lasting changes in the way our body functions, but get overwhelmed by where to begin. I will help you come up with a realistic and sustainable plan targeting specific areas, one at a time, leading to overall health and wellness. Together, we will encourage you to eat and move in a way that balances blood sugar, which can help balance our hormones and insulin levels. I teach lifestyle choices that aid in disease prevention, and also soothe achy joints, improve sleep and increase overall well-being.

My Values

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I believe that food is medicine, and that each individual thrives on a different diet. I tailor my approach to each body and nervous system.
